We are raising the bar for what safety should look like in an unregulated baby lounger sector.
Our signature bumper sides are designed to curve away from baby’s face to promote maximum air circulation. We chose Buckwheat hulls as our bumper filling as they are gentle-firm (like a baby mattress) and their triangular shape allows for air to circulate freely beating polyester and other synthetic fibers on the breath-ability index.
There is no padding behind baby’s head to avoid infant positional asphyxia from chin-to-chest placement or any sort of slumping or elevation of the head. This is very important as baby grows and becomes constrained by today’s conventional baby loungers, anything that pushes baby’s chin-to-chest is extremely dangerous because it makes breathing difficult for baby.
The centre of our bumper does not contain any filling or padding so you can place baby on the firm surface of your choice. Newborns should always be placed flat on their backs, on a firm surface.

There are no toxic chemicals, pesticides, dyes, adhesives or any other chemical treatments — all of which can be absorbed by the body – used in the making of our bumper. Baby lounger companies rely heavily on polyester for their padding, a dangerous filling known to cause recalls due to its soft and cushiony nature. Polyester does not breathe and is treated with thousands of toxic chemicals during production. Lovey You™ uses only 100% Pro-Cert organic buckwheat hulls for our filling. They are an eco-conscious and high-performance filling offering firmness, incredible breathe-ability, resilience, and temperature control that far exceeds synthetic, blended, or polyester-based fillings. (Pro-tip: check your labels! Although the fabric may be labled as organic, the filling is always polyester. )
